Through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Czech Government is now accepting applications for the Czech Government Scholarships under the Government of the Czech Republic for the academic year 2025-2026. These represent an outstanding opportunity for students from developing countries pursuing higher studies in Europe. Targeted international students want to enroll at a public university in the Czech Republic at the Master’s or Doctoral level. Over 20,000 students from outside the country have been awarded these scholarships since 1950 through the Foreign Development Cooperation of the Czech Republic. Of late, the stipend is liberal, with a handsome amount as the monthly allowance, and hence presents an excellent opportunity for pursuing postgraduate education in a European country. The courses are in Czech or English. However, English courses are available only within restricted fields. In addition, a one-year preparatory course, including a language course, is granted to scholarship holders. All these scholarships are merit-based and must correspond to the recipient country’s development needs. The Czech Republic Government Scholarships is a prestigious scholarship program in the Czech Republic’s international cooperation effort, administered by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
